Why join the Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is the body governing Mind-in-Enfield. It’s role is primarily a strategic one, leading the direction in which the organisation is going. It meets once a month, on the second Wednesday in the evening, which widens the availability of people in work. We aim to attract all ages, creeds and ethnicity. Currently we have some vacancies, and would like to strengthen our skills base in medical, legal and therapeutic fields.
It is a two way thing, what you can contribute, and the sense of achievement gained from helping the clients of Mind.
We are recruiting Trustees
Mind in Enfield is a highly regarded local charity working with local people who have mental health problems, supporting and helping them to improve their quality of life. Mind in Enfield is part of the National Mind network.
We are seeking to add to the expertise of our experienced, professional Board of Trustees, and in particular we would like to recruit Trustees who:
- Have lived experience of mental health problems
- Have legal or HR expertise
- Have fundraising expertise
- Have experience in the delivery of mental health services as a medical doctor or other healthcare professional
We would particularly welcome applications from people of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds. This is a voluntary unpaid role, but reasonable expenses will be paid for travel to meetings and agreed out of pocket expenditure.
Successful applicants will be expected to undergo a standard level Disclosure and Baring Service check
