Work for us

We’re searching for an exceptional experienced advocate to work on a CAMHS inpatient unit.

This role is ideally suited to people with extensive experience of working with young people who want to expand their experience.

The advocate will provide independent advocacy for young people who are currently admitted as inpatients. You will provide general advocacy support to all eligible patients (both formal and informal) to ensure that their voices are heard and rights upheld, and to facilitate engagement with ward staff, professionals involved in their care, treatment planning processes, and other relevant meetings. This is not a statutory role, and you will be expected to work with other agencies operating on the wards, such as IMHA, to establish effective service boundaries and referral protocols.

You will attend a weekly Young Persons Forum on the ward, provide one to one advocacy clinics, and explore ways of promoting self-advocacy throughout all engagements.

Please read the full Job Description and Person Spec and apply by sending a cover letter and CV to [email protected] outlining your skills, experience and interest in the role.
